HOW WE STARTED
ASTRO CAFE
Astro Cafe & Brunch was founded by a passionate husband-and-wife team—a café owner and a chef—who dreamed of creating a welcoming place for great food and warm company. Today, the café continues to thrive under the care of their siblings and a dedicated, friendly team, keeping the family spirit alive.
Located in the heart of Bethnal Green, Astro Cafe & Brunch has been serving delicious breakfast, brunch, and lunch since 1978. We offer freshly prepared dishes to suit every taste, including halal, vegan, and vegetarian options, alongside fresh juices, smoothies, pastries, and premium Monmouth Organic Coffee.
As part of a family of cafés, we also run three sister locations across London, each bringing the same passion and quality to their local communities. At Astro Cafe & Brunch, we aim to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere where locals and visitors alike can enjoy a relaxed morning or a leisurely weekend brunch. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic Full English breakfast, a healthy brunch option, or specialty coffee, Astro Cafe is your go-to destination in Bethnal Green.

Lovely spot, the breakfasts are excellent, hearty and tasty, there’s something for everyone. They kindly allowed me to swap eggs for avocado 🙏Great coffee too. Cosy and welcoming and happy attentive service. The owner clearly loves what she does and should be rightfully proud. Also the kitchen and loos were spotless!
